Many Hesperians head indoors at even the hint of rain, but the Hesperia Days Parade Saturday morning proved a big enough draw to pull more than a thousand residents out of doors and out along Main Street.

Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, the Hesperia Days Parade is one of the tent pole events of a weekend worth of activities. More than 90 floats appeared in this year's parade, which ran from Peach to E Avenue Saturday morning, starting at 9 a.m.

The parade featured high school marching bands, drill teams and JROTC cadets. Local businesses, including the Hesperia Star, and local service groups and clubs also participated.
