It's a problem most parades run into, sooner or later, even in the High Desert: What happens if it rains?

In the case of Saturday's Hesperia Days parade, the Kiwanis Club, which is sponsoring the event, isn't going to let a little rain stop the festivities.

"The parade goes on," parade coordinator Roxanne Williams said Thursday. "I mean, I guess if it's pouring, no, because none of us will want to be out there then."

Forecasters predict between a 30 and 40 percent chance of precipitation on Saturday, with temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to mid-40s.

The parade, which kicks off at 9 a.m., begins at Main Street and Timberlane Avenue and finishes at E Avenue and Main Street.
