When the grocery store clerks at Albertson's offer to walk you to your car, say yes.

Sunday night, three men assaulted a clerk collecting shopping carts. A Hispanic male and two black males attempted to steal the clerk's wallet. He fought off all three and managed to get away. The trio then left the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.

The clerk was able to give a description of his assailants to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies. A search of the area revealed a vehicle matching the clerk's description in a nearby apartment complex parking lot. Three men matching the clerk's description were located in the apartment complex and arrested.

Walter Bradford, 28, Dennis Hardeman, 19, and Henry Ortega, 28, all of Hesperia, were charged with attempted robbery and booked into Victor Valley Jail.
