I have been up in the Oak Hills area for about 2-1/2 years and have noticed huge amounts of building going on. I live near the intersection of Muscatel and Escondido. Have you had a chance to travel through these areas? Not only are they building more and more houses, the ones already built aren't even sold and some have gone to lease and auctions. My main concern is with the city approving every single commercial building project that comes before them. We are looking at a new Target center, more cheap hamburger joints, Home Depot, Wal-Mart. Can't anyone drive anymore? There are two other Home Depots within 10 miles of here; do we really need another one on the corner of Escondido and Main? I know there is a lot of new housing but how about a bank? How about a post office? Do you realize how far we have to travel to THE post office when we live off the freeway at Main? These OKs on strip malls and a ridiculous piano store seem like this city council wants to take up every spare piece of land for some revenue! We need a Bank of America, a large US Post Office and how about a DMV? Here's what it says online about Hesperia BY Hesperia: "The City of Hesperia offers the endless beauty of the California High Desert as well as a close knit community of businesses and residents." Where is this city? I want to live there!
