In response to Eric Malone's letter on Rita Vogler and her acceptance of "union" money in an previous campaign, just a few facts on Brad Mitzelfelt's campaign contributors. In 2007 Mitzelfelt raised $850,040.00 dollars to run for 1st district supervisor. Out of this sum, Mitzelfelt accepted $59,500.00 from various SB county public employee unions. Of the $850,000.00, 75% of the contributions came from outside of the 1st district. 99% of the $850,000.00 came from developers, and other private business interests who want Mitzelfelt on the Board of Supervisors. From 1995 to 2000, Mitzelfelt worked as Deputy Director for the Building Industry Association. His job was a legislative policy analyst and advocate for the Building Industry Association of Southern California. If Mitzelfelt's history of employment and record of who is giving money to his campaign reflect who he is working for, he will be advocating for the B.I.A. full time as Supervisor if elected.
