A cell phone prank ended up getting three Hesperia Junior High students in trouble with police.

On May 12, school police cited three male Hesperia Junior students for child pornography, for lack of a better charge.

"A male junior high student took a cell phone and took a picture of his private parts, and then started sending it to all his friends," Hesperia Unified School District police chief Mike Graham said. "And then a friend sent him a picture of a girl in a shower, and we have no idea of who it was or from where."

Unlike the original picture, the picture of the girl was not full-frontal nudity.

"It's a picture of her coming out of a shower, holding a cell phone, taking a picture of herself in the mirror, and flashing a peace sign."

All three students were issued a citation.
