I have read with interest a number of articles recently, including yours of recent paying tribute to the gentleman whose efforts helped create the equestrian center bearing his name.


As you no doubt know, Lime Street Park (formerly Owens Park) was created through the same selfless efforts of the Owens family.


It occurs to me that a positive tribute to both of these families could and should be made by the repaving of Lime Street from Third Avenue to Hesperia Road. This improvement would not only pay the deserved tribute, but it would be a major benefit for all residents and commuters who attend or participate in various activities at the two centers.


And if this isn't enough, consider the abnormal use this "one block" receives daily from commuters, i.e. east of Ranchero, jog 7th, north on third, east on Lime to Hesperia Road. (All in lieu of the long-awaited Ranchero Underpass.
