The Victor Valley Moose Lodge #1808 held its first-ever health fair last Saturday.

Although attendance wasn't consistent throughout the five-hour event, organizer Wa ka Maners was generally pleased with the result.

"It's been a good day. The people that needed to come came," Maners said.

Participants included members of Fire Station #302 of San Bernardino County Fire, the American Red Cross, glucose screenings by Care More Health Plan, the American Heart Association, Indian Health, ForMor International, ALS Association, PH testing by Wakachinwa Traditions, blood pressure clinic by the Visiting Nurses Associatin, and cardiovascular Digital Pulsewave Analysis by Mary Jane and Charlie McCoy of St. Louis, MO.

Dr. Alan Gorenberg's office provided flu shots for $15 a shot.

The lodge also provided membership information and offered refreshments.
