Hesperia's Halloween Haunts:

Explorer's Haunted House
The first annual Hesperia Haunted House fundraiser will be held on Friday, October 31, from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Kids are invited to come and have fun in a safe environment. There will be face painting, carnival games, and a bounce house. Win prizes, treat-or-treat for Halloween candy, plus eat some cotton candy too. Be sure to dress up for the costume contest.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Hesperia Explorer Post 505 is hosting this event. Join in the fun at the Grange Hall, located at 16685 Yucca Street. Tickets will be sold at the door. For more information call Deputy Lisa Guerra at 909-644-1392 or Deputy Derek Stokes at 760-713-7330.

Trunk or Treat
Faith Lutheran Church is hosting a Trunk or Treat event with games, prizes, food, music and trunk-or-treating from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, October 31. Faith Lutheran Church is located at 9600 Seventh Avenue, Hesperia. The event is free. For more information, call 244-5943.

Haunted House
Prepare to be shivering in your boots, beginning at sundown, on Friday, October 31. Everyone is welcome to enter the haunted house at 19168 Lindsay Street. Canned food donations would be appreciated. All proceeds benefit the New Hope Home.

Directions: Go east on Main Street, which turns into Arrowhead Lake Road. Look for the Hesperia Mobile Home Estates. Turn left onto Monterey Street. Turn right on Arrowhead Lake Outer Highway. Turn left onto Lindsay Street and follow the screams to the haunted house.

Sugar Skulls
"Sugar Skulls" will be offered at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29 at the Hesperia Branch Library, 9650 Seventh Avenue. All adults are welcome to this free craft program featuring Mexican sugar art. For more information, call 244-4898.

CANCELED: House of Screams
Boy Scout Troop 450 "House of Screams," has been canceled. This Halloween event was to be held at the LDS church, beginning on Tuesday, October 28 and continuing through Thursday, October 31.
