Weeks before voters go to the polls, the board of trustees of the Victor Valley Community College District have voted to establish an oversight committee to monitor the expenditures of Measure JJ.

Formation of such a committee is a requirement of Proposition 39 Bond Elections, according the a VVC spokesperson.

Committee appointments will be made by the board of trustees from a pool of applicants whose applications are submitted in the event the measure is approved by voters.

Anyone interested in serving on the committee can review the committee bylaws at vvc.edu for information about the committee's role and responsbilities. Applications are available online, or they may be requested in writing to Victor Valley Community College District, 18422 Bear Valley Road, Victorville, CA 92395, Atten: Citizen's Oversight Committee/President's office.
