On Monday Oct. 27 I called the Hesperia Teachers Association asking them why they were endorsing Mark Kirk for Hesperia City Council.  The woman who I spoke with told me that HTA does not endorse candidates for City Council, and that she would get back to me the subject.  She called me the next day and informed me that the Teachers Association wasn't endorsing Mark Kirk.  On Wednesday Oct. 29, I received another advertisement for Mark Kirk in my mailbox.  On it is the quote: "Mark Kirk has been a strong leader to keep sex predators away from our schools and parks...we need him on the City Council." Jim Pace, President Hesperia Teachers Association.  Sounds like the Hesperia Teachers Association is endorsing Mark Kirk for Hesperia City Council after all.

So where does that leave the voters of Hesperia?  Mike Leonard and Paul Bosacki are both supported by Al Vogler, meaning that if they win, Al will control 4/5 of the Hesperia City Council.  When is Al going to step up and run for City Council?  He could wind up the next major of Hesperia if he does.  The only remaining viable option that isn't supported by Al Vogler or the Hesperia Teachers Association is Russ Blewett.  That still leaves one seat, which will go to the Voglers or the HTA candidate.  I love Hesperia Politics; it's like a three ring circus.
