With the election just days away there are some very disturbing facts that are being pushed aside and ignored. Those facts include the associations of Barrack Obama who will very likely become the next president of the United States of America. Besides his associations with people known for their terrorists acts against this country and with those responsible for the banking crisis as well as financially benefiting big time through Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac himself, I believe one of the most troubling of associations is that which Mr. Obama has had with his "former" pastor, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright. Rev. Wright in his most well known inflammatory sermon points to all the evils of America and shrilly proclaims, "No, no, no, not God bless America, God d----America!"

As Abraham Lincoln said in his Thanksgiving Proclamation October 3, 1863, "We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven." God has blessed America in so many ways. Unlike Rev. Wright, I think of this country with the greatest of pride, respect, and love. When I see America I see not only the beauty of an amazing country, but I see the beauty of her people of all colors, ages, sizes, hopes, dreams, and the desire to live the American dream by hard work, sacrifice, faith, cooperation, and not the desire to condemn her and tear her down. I see little children going off to school, the moms and dads working hard to make a better life for them, grandmothers and grandfathers, policemen, firemen, farmers, truck drivers, teachers, and on and on, her people who everyday wake up in a country where the air still smells of freedom and promise. Do I see an America that is perfect? Of course not. Do I see an America that has made some really bad choices? Definitely. But Lincoln went on the say in his proclamation, " We have forgotten God."

This is so true, so sadly true. We have forgotten God, but He has not forgotten us, no matter how hard most of us have either purposefully or carelessly forgotten Him in our day-to-day lives. It is quite odd to me that Reverend Wright and also his faithful friend and follower, Mr. Obama would condemn America for her past sins and yet still so strongly endorse abortion on demand even up until the time an infant is born and even to when that little one might take its first breath and even then be denied the God given right to life.

Is this not what thousands gave their lives for that right for a whole race of people who were once deemed in Rev. Wright's own words, "as less than human," and yet that is what we are doing to the innocent preborn in America today. As Thomas Jefferson said, "I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that his justice cannot sleep forever." I do not ask God to bless the mess that we as a people have made in our homes, our schools, our churches, especially in our government. No, no, no, not God bless America, but God heal America. God save America!

God forgive America! I am greatly distressed that Senator Obama sat for 20 years under the tutelage of a man who would cry out for God to curse America, and I too tremble for my country that if Obama becomes our next president perhaps Rev. Wright will have gotten his wish after all. Please pray and ask God for his guidance as we vote.

God bless.
