As of 12:55 a.m., vote totals remain unchanged in local races, with only three of 40 precincts counted in the Hesperia city council race, nine of 60 in the Hesperia Unified School District school board race and eight out of 44 and three out of 31 in the two Hesperia seats for the Mojave Water Agency board of directors.

Mayor Mike Leonard and Planning Commissioner Paul Bosacki remain in the lead in the city council race. Chris Bentley and Chris Lindsay remain in the lead in the school board race. And Richard Hall and Doug Shumway currently are in the lead in the MWA water board races.

This year's voter turnout is expected to be a record-setter, buoyed by the presidential campaign and various ballot propositions. Officials with the San Bernardino County Registrar of Voters have said final totals might not be available until Thursday.

The next set of election results is expected to be released at 6 a.m. by the registrar of voters.
