A motorist struck a man in a wheelchair Wednesday in a hit and run.

On November 5, at 4:40 p.m., a man in a wheelchair was struck by a multi-colored Honda Civic near the intersection of Main Street and Timberlane Avenue.

The victim was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center, where he is being treated for injuries.

Witnesses told San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies were told the vehicle had fled the scene going west down Main Street. Witnesses also provided a partial license plate number and a description of the driver.

Using the license plate information, a possible suspect was identified living on the 10000 block of Timberlane. Jesus Aguilera, 27, responded when deputies arrived at the residence and his description matched that given by the witnesses at the scene. After further investigation, Aguilera was arrested for felony hit and run and taken to Victor Valley Jail.
