He went out to pick up his morning paper, but a Hesperia man discovered even more on Sunday: he found a bomb in his driveway.

The man, who lives on the 7700 block of Minstead Avenue, spotted a four inch long object wrapped in black tape and trailing a fuse beneath his truck.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's bomb and arson specialists were called to the scene, and neighbors were told to remain indoors. The bomb turned out to be two skyrocket fireworks and was defused at the scene.
