It's ahead of Frank Sinatra's version of "Silent Night." It's also currently more popular than Andy Williams' "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and Judy Garland's "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

The song that is leading those classics, according to Martini In The Morning's 2008 Holiday Countdown, is "Christmas In Love," a tune whose lyrics were written by Marva Marrow of Hesperia.

In fact, the Internet radio show station lists "Christmas In Love" as No. 5 on its Top 100 greatest holiday songs ever written.

Produced by legendary producer David Foster, the song with music by Tony Renis features the singing of the phenomally talented young singer Rene Olstead.

Although the song is currently unavailable as a digital download, it made a tremendous impact when the Italian-made film, which featured American actors Danny DeVito and Ronn Moss, was released in 2004. The song was nominated for a Golden Globe award.
