The banner is down from the stone sign on Sultana Street: Hesperia Senior Campus is back to being Foremost Health Care Center once again.

"It has changed hands," said Clarence Crites, Monday, Assistant General Manager in Charge of Marketing. "It was Hesperia Senior Campus. Originally, it was Hesperia Senior Health Center ... and now has been taken back by Foremost."

The campus has been back in the hands of its previous owners since November, and Crites and the staff are working to restore things to how they preferred them before.

"We believe that it's going to be an improvement over the previous owners' administration," he said. "We're launching a major offensive here to get things back in order."

Residents of the 166 capacity campus can look forward to improvements in the rooms themselves, Crites said, along with the quality of activities offered and the ratio of caregivers increased. His staff will also be looking at the menu offered to residents and possibly making changes there.

The campus' Terrace Room, which is used for Hesperia Chamber of Commerce luncheons and other meetings, may also get a once-over, but the first priority is the quality of care for residents.

"I think that the Terrace Room, I think there are some things, in the decorative area, that will be cleaned up a little bit," Crites said.

"We think it will be above the average in health care, and that is our goal and we have implemented steps that will take it to that."
