A clerk at Junny's Market was arrested for selling marijuana to minors at the store, and officials said Thursday they seized more than $3,000 pot during the investigation.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Hesperia station's Gang Unit, responding to a tip, went to Junny's Market in the 8100 block of I Avenue on Tuesday to investigate whether drugs were being sold out of the business, officials said.

Deputies Ray Santa Cruz and Dave Herbert spoke to Oscar Perez, 40, of Hesperia, a market employee and boyfriend of the owner, Santa Cruz said.

Through an investigation, officials found 3 ounces of marijuana valued at more than $3,000, packaging materials and a scale, officials said.

Officials arrested Perez for narcotics sales and selling to minors and he was booked into Victor Valley Jail, authorities said.

A tipster has been credited with helping in Perez's arrest.

"This person wanted to call and say, 'Enough is enough,'" Santa Cruz said.

Officials ask anyone who would like to give information about criminal activity in their neighborhood to call their local sheriff's station or WeTip at (800) 78-CRIME.
