Altogether, Hesperia had a total of seven teams recently win league championships.


In basketball, the Hesperia boys team took the Mojave River League title while Sultana had the girls championship. Hesperia Christian School took both the boys and girls Agape League titles.


In soccer, the Hesperia boys also were victorious, taking the Mojave River League title with a 15 shutout season. The Sultana girls team won the girls title.


In wrestling, Sultana - which has one of the best teams ever in school history - won the Mojave River League championship.

Sultana wins league


The Sultana girls basketball finished league play with a perfect 8-0 record when they defeated Serrano 46-37 on Thursday, Feb. 12 at home.


Nine Sultana players scored.

Hesperia Christian wins Agape League


A 20-point victory over Victor Valley Christian on Friday, Feb. 13 gave Hesperia Christian a perfect 10-0 record in the Agape League, the league championship and a No. 1 seed in the playoffs. The Patriots beat the Royals 55-35 at home.

Hesperia beats Apple Valley


The Scorpion girls basketball team secured second place in league with a 55-37 win over Apple Valley on Thursday, Feb. 12.

Sultana trounces Apple Valley


An overwhelming 52-16 victory over Apple Valley brought the Sultana girls basketball team's league record to 7-0 on Tuesday, Feb. 10. The win also clinched the league title for the Lady Sultans.

Led by Jashae Lee's 25 points, the Lady Sultans defeat Yucca Valley 63-51 in a non-league game on Monday, Feb. 9.

Scorpions win league


A 19-point victory over Rim of the World gave the Hesperia Scorpions their first Mojave River League championship in six years on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at home.


The final score was Hesperia 79, Rim 58.

Just a day after Hesperia won the league title, the Scorpions lost to Apple Valley 67-48 on Thursday, Feb. 12. In the process, the Sun Devils' Kimani Lane had 23 points.

Seth Thomas led the Patriots with a 16-point, 14-rebound game.

Sultana can't keep up with Apple Valley


Both Salgado and Salazar scored 10 points apiece for Sultana, but that wasn't enough as Apple Valley beat Sultana 74 to 37 on Tuesday, Feb. 10.

Rim forfeit gives Hesperia outright title


A forfeit by Rim of the World, which decided not to come down from its snowy perch on Thursday, Feb. 12, gave Hesperia the outright Mojave River League championship.


Hesperia had a school record 15 shutouts this season.

A 2-0 win over Apple Valley gave the Hesperia girls soccer team a third place finish in league play on Thursday, Feb. 12.


Daniele Rodgers scored twi while Jessika Rodriguez made three saves.


Hesperia ties Rim, 1-1


A successful penalty kick by Nikki Yahnke gave Hesperia a much-needed goal that tied the Scorpions with Rim of the World 1-1 on Wednesday, Feb. 11.


Sultana demolishes Apple Valley 8-0


Sultana star Sasha Rodriguez scored three goals and had three assists in leading Sultana to an overwhelming 8-0 victory over Apple Valley at home on Tuesday, Feb. 10.


The victory gave Sultana at least a tie for the league title.


Also scoring three goals was Kelly Keyes. Brianna Gonzalez added two goals.
