Finally, they'll get their chance!  Until now, those representing the politically liberal hard left in this country have never been in position to lead it. But now, under the leadership of our newly elected socialist-leaning president Barack Obama, along with a like-minded Democratic Party-led Congress, they'll finally be in position to strut their stuff and hopefully prove to the American people that they can actually lead this county in a new direction, filled with continued prosperity and hope.

It's a little late for me to discuss the pros and cons of the stimulus package proposed by the President and and the Democratic Congress, because I know that by now it's probably already been passed. Instead, what I've chosen to address are some notable factors that I feel may more clearly identify the type of administration that we've recently voted into office.

During his campaign, Barack Obama promised American citizens "a time for real change" and an open and transparent administration if he were elected president. Another notable promise that he made, was "I will not sign a bill, until after I've reviewed it for five days." Unfortunately, this particular promise became short lived, after he quickly signed three very important bills within just a few days of each another, soon after he was sworn into office. Along with all of the other promises that he repeatedly made to voters, was one in which he promised to maintain a high degree of integrity through out his administration. Well, let's face facts. Unless you've been living in a cave since the inauguration, you've probably noticed that this promise also hasn't been kept either, leaving many curious voters wondering if they're actually seeing a new side of Obama that they've never seen before.

Since taking office, President Obama has chosen a number of cabinet members who have gotten away with cheating on their taxes, which included not having to pay penalties related to their fraudulent activities. While their Democratic cronies simply refer to these irregularities as simple "bumps in the road," that their political friends have to climb over on their way up the political ladder, honest tax paying Americans who slip up from time to time on their taxes, are still treated like common thugs and criminals by the I.R.S.. Unlike normal hard working Americans, Barack's political "chosen ones," haven't yet been made to pay for their shameful indiscretions, but were still placed into positions of authority by him. It's because of Obama's reluctance to even question these morally flawed character traits of people that he puts into positions of importance, that makes many Americans question the strengths and weaknesses of our newly elected president and his ability to lead our nation under the banner of "integrity" that he once touted as part of a pillar of trust within his administration.

Unfortunately for all of us, it's sadly become an accepted flaw within many law abiding Americans to complacently accept the fact that many elected officials can get away with just about anything in order advance their political status and agendas. In reference to our new president's personal political activities, while only being in office for only a short period of time, Obama has already demonstrated some of these similar political traits, by supporting a stimulus document, in which we find proposals designed to meet political payoffs and a subtly designed plan to unfairly strengthen his own political party during future election cycles.

Like all newly elected presidents, on the day of his inauguration Barack Obama placed his hand on the Bible and took an oath to God to defend the Constitution of The United States of America, "...so help me God."  During his campaign for the presidency, Obama frequently used the term, "we are our brother's keeper" and other references to verses found in scripture, hoping to capture the trust of some Christian voters who were looking for a candidate who they thought would lead their country by the same basic Christian principles that they believe in. Personally, since taking his oath of office and a making his pledge to God, I cannot help but question the sincerity of either oath or pledge, ever since he revived legislation for American taxpayer dollars to pay for overseas abortions.

We're all familiar with the term, "Say what you mean and mean what you say." Up until now, in comparison to what President Obama says to what he actually does, doesn't seem to have impressed very many well informed Americans. Even though our new president has been if office for a very short time, it's become obvious to myself and others that he's determined to ultimately change the direction of our country from a free enterprise system to one directed by socialism. I believe that most Americans don't want such radical change and will eventually rise up in protest to protect our liberties and freedom. Trust and integrity within our political leadership is what Americans are looking for. Those patriotic leaders who out of love of country who will courageously stand up to fight and defend those long held treasured principals of "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Leaders who will stay true to their oaths, promises and pledges taken before God and keep them.
