Five people were arrested after a call about a neighborhood dog killing goats lead to a marijuana bust.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Deputy Eric Getts arrived the 11000 block of Hickory Avenue on Monday, May 11, shortly before 9 a.m. He was responding to a report that a dog at the location had been jumping over neighbors' fences and killing goats.

Getts located the dog and made contact with resident Robyn Davis, 47. While speaking with her about the dog, Getts reportedly noticed two marijuana plants growing in a front porch planter. The house's residents allegedly told the deputy that they knew about the plants and had not attempted to pull them out or destroy them.

As a result, Alfred Camarillo, 20, Meagan Davis, 19, Jon Davis, 20 and Brittnie McNabb, 20, were arrested on charges of cultivating marijuana. The elder Davis was on felony probation and arrested on a charge of possession of ammunition. All were booked at Victor Valley Jail.

Davis was also cited by Hesperia Animal Control for unlicensed dogs.
