A 58-year-old Hesperia man was injured in a hit and run accident Monday night.

Monday, just before 8:30 p.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies were called to the intersection of Hesperia Road and Sequoia Street, where they found the man lying in the roadway with a dislocated shoulder and facial injuries. He was flown to Loma Linda Medical University for care.

A witness reports the driver of an older model two-door gray car hit the pedestrian in the roadway and headed northbound on Hesperia Road, driving into Victorville, without ever stopping. The car left behind a side rear view mirror and a chrome hubcap at the scene.
