A second man was arrested in the murder of a transient whose remains were found in an open field near Cottonwood Avenue and Bear Valley Road, officials said.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's authorities arrested James Miles, 44, at his Hesperia home late Wednesday night for the murder of 56-year-old Roy Gonzalez, Sr., Cindy Beavers, spokeswoman for the Sheriff's Department said.
