Later next month, Wells Fargo customers in Hesperia will enjoy a larger space and more tellers when the bank moves from its Vons grocery store location to the former Wachovia bank building across the street.

The current location in the Hesperia Square center will end operation at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, and the new store, which is located at 17422 Main St., will open its doors at 9 a.m. on Monday, April 26.

Corporate managers are looking at the new location not only as a new beginning for Hesperia Wells Fargo customers but also an opportunity to greet former Wachovia customers. Wells Fargo acquired Wachovia in 2008.

"We're very excited to welcome Wachovia's customers to Wells Fargo," said Andy Wong, Wells Fargo Eastern Gateway Community Bank Regional President. "We've been working for many months to combine the two companies, our teams and our cultures."

According to Wong, the larger location in Hesperia will enable Wells Fargo to increase its tellers from three to seven and the number of banker desks from two to eight.

"With our combined resources, our many talented team members will be able to satisfy even more of our customers' financial needs at our new larger Hesperia location, which gives us expanded space to help our customers, " Wong said.

Wells Fargo's hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
