A Hesperia woman arrested for fighting, kicked out a window of a patrol car and attempted to climb out through the shards of the window, police say.

Tasia Michelle Edward, 26, was arrested Wednesday, shortly after 3:30 p.m., when San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to a report of women fighting on the 8500 block of C Avenue.

Arriving at the scene, the deputies reportedly found Edward to be extremely intoxicated and combative. She was placed in the patrol unit, but then reportedly kicked out the vehicle's right rear window and tried to crawl out, cutting herself in the process.

Edward was transported to Desert Valley Medical Hospital for treatment. While at the hospital, she continued to fight, according to the sheriff's department, hand had to be sedated. Following treatment, she was reportedly still combative in the hospital's parking lot.

Edward was arrested for vandalism and booked at West Valley Detention Center. During her booking, it was discovered that she was on parole out of Los Angeles.

The court will require Edward to pay restitution for the damaged patrol car.
