The Hesperia Gang Team Unit arrested a 66-year-old Hesperia man after finding him hiding under a bed with a handgun, according to a Hesperia Police Station report.


The Gang Team Unit were serving an arrest warrant in the 18200 block of Cherry Street at about 7 p.m. on April 22 when they learned that the suspect was hiding inside the house. After the man refused to come out, deputies John Clough and Jeremy Vasquez set up a perimeter around the residence and called for support.


After searching the home, deputies discovered Desron Kimble hiding under a bed with a .357 revolver. Kimble was arrested on several charges including possession of a stolen gun, felony drug warrant and a felon in possession of a firearm, the report stated.


He was booked at Victor Valley Jail.
