Little Blessings Child Care held their second annual preschool prom on Friday, May 7 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Hesperia.

Dressed in their finest attire, the children arrived at the hall at 6:30 p.m. in three 10-passenger stretch limousines from Diamond Limousine in Victorville. They walked the red carpet and were treated like little celebrities.

Inside, the banquet hall was filled with pink and baby blue balloons made into arches, and every table had centerpieces that featured a star-shaped balloon with a cluster of balloons around it.

The little stars were treated to to a full buffet, and once the prom began the children feasted on elbow spaghetti covered with cheese, star-shaped sandwiches, chips, potato salad, veggie trays, mini cups made of white chocolate filled with chocolate pudding and fresh strawberries, strawberry and whip cream tray, a star-shaped pineapple, strawberry and grapefruit arrangement, and last but not least a full sheet cake filled with Bavarian cream decorated with pink and blue stars and curly ribbon and mini cups of ice cream.

After dinner, the children danced the night away as family and friends watched the little ones have the time of their lives. At the end of the evening, the children were given pink and baby blue star-shaped suckers made of white chocolate, which were made by owner Neysa Wyatt. Wyatt says she likes to go "over the top" when it comes to events she throws for the children enrolled in her childcare facility.

"Each year will be better than the year before," Wyatt said, "and I will always make sure that Little Blessings Child Care always gives the children the best. I would like to thank the parents of the children for all the support they gave in the fund raising events that helped make the night a very big success."
