A "very white" man robbed the Main Street Pep Boys Auto Parts store on Monday.

Shortly before 2 p.m. on May 17, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Hesperia station were called to the store, on the 15600 block of Main Street.

There, witnesses told them that a "very white" man attempted to leave the business earlier that afternoon with a motorcycle and air filter without paying for them. When the manager confronted the man, the thief then brandished a semiautomatic handgun.

The man fled south on foot along 9th Avenue. A video camera at the adjacent Carl's Jr. restaurant recorded a Hispanic man joining him.

The robber is described as an extremely pale Caucasian man, approximately 18 years old, with red hair and green eyes, wearing a white sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Hesperia station at 760-947-1500 or WeTip at (800) 78-CRIME.
