Authorities are looking for a man who backed into another motorist on Sunday.

Shortly before 11 a.m. on May 30, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to the scene of a reported hit and injury on E Avenue between Peach Avenue and Eucalyptus Street.

Interviewing the victim there, deputies were told a pair of motorists were driving north on E Avenue, with a white utility truck, in the lead, swerving all over the road. A trash can fell out of the truck, and the motorist driving behind the truck pulled off the road in front of a residence on the 11100 block of E Avenue.

The first motorist then put the white truck in reverse and backed into the victim's vehicle. The victim's vehicle shot across the road, onto the right shoulder, then down an embankment and up a hill, coming to rest near the residence's back yard. The suspect then turned his vehicle around and left the scene.

The suspect is described as a white male adult, bald with scruffy facial hair, and wearing an orange work shirt. The vehicle was a full-sized white utility truck with no racks, and it likely now has major rear end damage and blue paint transferred from the victim's vehicle.
