February 1

* A 1994 Honda was stolen from a residence on the 9500 block of Peridot Avenue.
* A vehicle was burglarized on the 8800 block of C Avenue, and an Alpine stereo and tattoo equipment stolen.
* A residence on the 13700 block of Pinella Street was burglarized. The thieves entered through an unlocked window and took a television set and jewelry.
* A vehicle was burglarized on the 7400 block of El Cerrito Avenue. The car's soft-top was slashed and personal electronics, including an iPod Touch and two portable Nintendo gaming systems were stolen.
* A 13-year-old boy was arrested on the 10800 block of Third Avenue. The boy punched his grandfather in the mouth, causing his grandfather's mouth to bleed, after the man had said the boy's mother was a "crackhead."
* A man was arrested near the intersection of Main Street and Escondido Avenue for possession of a dangerous weapon.
* A woman was arrested near the intersection of Main Street and Maple Avenue for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level in excess of .08 percent.
* A man was arrested at Lime Street Park after a traffic stop for an outstanding warrant.
* A man was arrested for elder abuse on the 19200 block of Hinton Street. His 73-year-old mother had argued with the man about him paying rent for their shared home. He then struck her with a flashlight, choked her and threatened to break her fingers so she wouldn't be able to play the piano.
