The Hesperia High School Parent Center and ASB presented the 14th annual Felix Curi Memorial Talent show last Saturday night at Oak Hills High.

Proceeds from the event, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Talents, benefited Hesperia High students.

With the top scorer in each of three categories getting $50 and the overall talent show winner being awarded $100, contestants pulled out all the stops. Jarrett Jefferson and James Manibusan thrilled the audience with a fire dance during the first half while the school's talented Mercedes Robinson wowed with her version of "At Last" during the second half.

Opening the show were bandmembers Daniel Duran, Erik Gomez and Jose Lugo followed by a dance duet by Megan Wade and Samantha Bennett. Brianna Earley sang a solo followed by dancers Airreal Barnes, Amelia Vinson, Alexis Matute and Crystal Hurtado. A band composed of Ezekiel Cabrera, Andrew Diaz, Anthony Gonzalez, David Hernandez and Adam Garnica entertained. Daniel Walker played piano. Also showing their talents during the first half was a band composed of Anthony Hinojosa, Brian Aguas, Raul Ureno and Marcus.Leah Atkins sang a solo followed by dancers Wanda White and Kasydhe Sorola McDow. Break dancers Dominic Sears, Dre Johnson and Darren Reuter showed their moves to close the first half.

Drummers Aaron Moreno and Raul Ureno proved their rudiments were much more than rudimentary. Belly dancers Isamar Beltran, Amanda Monroy and Ashley Freeman brightened the stage and Elizabeth De Luna danced a solo.

Closing out the show were "class acts" by all four of the classes.
