Hesperia Christian School, which for several years has served as the host of the weekly coffee club sponsored by the Hesperia Chamber of Commerce, was the focus of Friday's event.

"We're here to provide a Christ-centered school," said HCS administrator Cindy Harmon. "What makes us stand out is we have staff and administrators here that love the Lord."

Founded in 1966, the school started with only 12 students. Today, there are several hundred students in preschool through 12th grade.

"A student could start at 2 years old as long as they're potty trained and go through high school. This could be their only educational experience."

HCS is a member of the Association of Christian School International and is certified by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. The campus is 23 acres and has an athletic program, music, art, drama and more.

Most importantly, Harmon said, HCS has a 100 percent graduation rate.

"Every single one of our students will graduate."

Harmon credited teachers and staff for making a difference in the lives of so many.

"They want to live for Jesus Christ," she said. "We seek to instill that in our students through what we say and how we act."
