I wanted to get the word out, if possible, that there is a puppy in need at our vet office. He was kicked about by some kids in cowboy boots at a park. My neighbor saw this, took the animal from the kids and brought it to me. She is filing an abuse claim with Animal Control.

I took the beaten pup to work I'm a veterinarian tech to see how bad the damage was. Not too bad thankfully. However, he tested positive for parvo, a lethal dog virus if left untreated. Our clinic has a good track record of curing parvo but it is spendy. I was wondering if an article could be put in the paper asking for donations and a new loving home.

It's heartbreaking that this little guy has lived through hell only to be left at the mercy of this virus. There is hope, he stands a good chance of recovering with treatment. He is still eating moving about, drinking and hanging in there which is pretty good for what he's been through. I've already pitched in for X-rays, parvo test and a day and a half's worth of IV fluids but he's going to need more over the next 4-5 days.

We are asking for donations from staff members and clients at work but with the economy as it is it's not yielding enough funds to pay for his treatment. He's an adorable, lovable little guy. Possibly a Pomeranian Chihuahua cross and something else? I know we've had great luck with a few other different cases that made it in to the paper and they are doing wonderfully now.
