It's getting harder and harder to find a Hesperia restaurant without an A rating.

Six years ago, when the San Bernardino County's Environmental Health Services Division first began grading businesses that serve food, only 58 percent of Hesperia businesses received an A rating, which is awarded to businesses that score a 90 percent or higher during an inspection. One restaurant even received a C.

In 2011, the number of Hesperia businesses that scored an A has risen to almost 95 percent: 94.5 percent of them received the top rating as of April 8.

Of those 207 A rated businesses, 11 of them received a perfect 100, although only one of them is a restaurant: Kid's Planet on Main Street. The other businesses include Albertsons, Ararat Market, Baby & Infants Nutritional Center, BJ'S Nutrition, Hesperia Leisure League, KMart, Little Sisters Truck Wash, Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less and Target.

At the other end of the scale, 12 businesses received a B rating, including J & P Subway, Original KO's Pizza, Tams Burgers 28, El Torito, Mile High Café, Kanni's Juice, TNT's Café, Tortilleria y Taqueria la Reina de Oro, Yoshi Japanese Cuisine, La Fondita, Monica's Tacos and Antonious Pizza.
