This sign of wonder may be neon, but to Ginnie Wessberg and her daughter Stefanie LeGault it is a miracle nonetheless.

On Labor Day, the women moved their business, Agape Christian Store, from its original spacious corner location to a cozy storefront in the same center on Main Street near 11th Avenue.

"Business has been slow," Wessberg said Friday, "but with the power of God in that store we've been able to keep it going."

Although they were able to move their merchandise, they didn't have the necessary funds to hire a professional sign company to move their neon sign. For several months it stayed in its original spot. But last Monday, the store received a call that would change everything.

"Impact Signs (in Victorville) called us and said, `Somebody has paid us to have your sign moved, but they want to stay anonymous,'" Wessberg said.

The unexpected gift, valued at more than $1,500, left Wessberg speechless, and overwhelmed with emotion.

"I'm standing there crying with tears down my face."

Within hours, Impact Signs came and moved the sign to its new location.

Although the act of the Good Samaritan was unexpected, nothing completely surprises Wessberg, especially in regard to her little Christian store.

"The feelings are indescribable to have somebody helping you like that. It's a miracle. It's totally through Him," she said. "I'd been praying for help, and He sent somebody to help."

Agape Christian Store is celebrating its one-year anniversary from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15. The event will begin with Deb and Her Puppet Friends followed by face painting, pizza from Figaro's Pizza, Vertical Worship at 2 p.m. and more. A portion of the day's sales will benefit Born Again Delivered Disciples.
