OAK HILLS 20, RIALTO 10: Senior running back Marshaun Coprich ran for 238 yards and a touchdown on 37 carries to help Oak Hills overcome a number of penalties in a 20-10 nonleague win over Rialto on Friday.



VICTOR VALLEY 13, HESPERIA 15: Hesperia defensive lineman Jarrett Jefferson laid a big hit on Victor Valley quarterback Zack Gardner to force an interception by Montague Cheney, which he returned for a touchdown to bring the Scorpions to within six points in the closing moments of the half, allowing the Scorpions to claw back for a 15-13 win.



YUCCA VALLEY 27, SULTANA 41: The Sultana football team knocked off Yucca Valley 41-27 to get off to its first 2-0 start in some time Friday.



HESPERIA CHRISTIAN 48, BIG PINE 6: At Hesperia, Keifer Lux did just about everything to lead the Patriots to a big win Friday.

HESPERIA 10, APPLE VALLEY 8: At Apple Valley, strong doubles play led the Scorpions to a Mojave River League win in the league opener Wednesday.



SERRANO 15, SULTANA 3: Serrano defeated last year's second-place team Sultana 15-3 on Wednesday, which followed up an 18-0 win over Apple Valley on Monday in the league opener.



OAK HILLS 16, VICTOR VALLEY 2: At Oak Hills, the Bulldogs cruised past the Jackrabbits using a variety of players in a nonleague match Wednesday.


Prep girls volleyball


HESPERIA 2, VICTOR VALLEY 1: The Hesperia volleyball team hosted and won the Hesperia Tournament on Saturday afternoon. The Scorpions beat Victor Valley 25-19, 15-25 and 15-13 in the championship match.



HESPERIA CHRISTIAN 3, LUCERNE VALLEY 0: At Lucerne Valley, the Patriots swept the Mustangs in a nonleague match 25-13, 25-14, 25-14 Thursday.



APPLE VALLEY 3, HESPERIA 1: The Sun Devils won their first Mojave River League match of the season 3-1 over Hesperia with set scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-21, 27-25 on Wednesday night.



SERRANO 3, SULTANA 0: At Hesperia, the Diamondbacks cruised to a sweep over the Sultans on Wednesday to remain unbeaten in the young Mojave River League season.



VICTOR VALLEY 3, OAK HILLS 2: At Oak Hills, the Jackrabbits played their second five-set match in as many days but came out winners this time in a match that featured last year's Desert Sky League and Mojave River League champions.
