HESPERIA Hesperia authorities are searching for the person who broke into a clothing store early Tuesday morning and made off with two wigs, women's underwear and a few pairs of red high heels, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Hesperia station officials said.

"We were in shock when we learned what they took," said Suna Haddid, a representative for One Stop Fashion in the 16900 block of Main Street in the Kmart shopping center.

"We received the silent-alarm call at 5:06 a.m.," Sgt. Ernie Kopasz said. When deputies arrived at the store, they found the front window had been shattered.

Haddid and the store owner arrived a short time later and informed deputies that someone had taken the wigs off of two mannequins, several pairs of women's underwear and several pairs of red high-heeled shoes.

Haddid joked maybe the burglar was preparing for Valentine's Day.

It was unclear if the burglar was male or female, Kopasz stated.

The store was open for business Tuesday afternoon.

Investigators are searching for the person responsible and ask anyone who may have information on the case to contact the Hesperia station at (760) 947-1500 or call WeTip at (800) 78-CRIME.
