HESPERIA • When Hesperia Christian's Brennan Dorsey entered high school as a 4-foot-11, 84-pound freshman, he never thought he would be moving on to play college football upon graduation.
But almost four years later, Dorsey signed a letter of intent on Friday to play at Northwestern College.
Dorsey will play outside linebacker for the Red Raiders and will join older brother and Jordan Dorsey, a sophomore running back, on the team.
"My brother has a (lot) to do with it," Brennan said. "He's my brother. I look up to him and love him, but I visited the campus and was amazed with how friendly everyone was. Everybody wanted me there."
Brennan, who has grown to be 5-11, 175 pounds, will get the chance to go against Jordan in practice.
"I think it will be a good matchup," Brennan said.
Fellow Hesperia Christian grad Cameron McKinney also plays for Northwestern College.
Dorsey also received a partial track and field scholarship despite never competing in the sport.
Dorsey was also recruited by fellow Great Plains Athletic Conference teams Concordia Nebraska, Nebraska Wesleyan, Dordt College and Dakota Wesleyan.
