When the Hesperia Civic Market & Street Faire returns for its fourth year on Wednesday, the market will look a little different.

"We're trying to make the appearance a little better this year," said Hesperia Recreation and Park District's Brandon McAnulty.

The park district has asked vendors to dress up their stalls a bit, giving the whole affair a bit more polish.

The market will also be moved to a different area of Civic Plaza Park, as a result of the under-construction Hesperia Cinema 12 being built on the park's western boundary.

Shoppers will also have new things to eat, including Philly cheese steak sandwiches and other hot sandwiches.

"Now we're at about 50 stalls for the opening week, which is about where we were last year," McAnulty said.

Once school ends later this month, the park district is planning children's activities at the market.

There will also be entertainment at the market later this summer.

The Hesperia Civic Market & Street Faire will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. every Wednesday at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park, behind the city library, beginning on May 16 and running through the end of August.
