HESPERIA • A suspect in the robbery of an all-night Hesperia pharmacy was arrested over the weekend in the Long Beach area, officials said.
Los Angeles Police Department Harbor Division officers stopped Johnathan Robertson, 22, of Long Beach in his car Saturday and found he had an active warrant, San Bernardino County Sheriff's officials said.
Investigating officers also found Robertson had a small semi-automatic handgun and evidence that connected him to the 3:21 a.m. Friday robbery of Walgreen's in the 17000 block of Bear Valley Road, officials said.
The robbery suspect entered the store when customers left and forced employees into the office at gunpoint, left with cash from the safe and drove off in a silver Pontiac Grand Prix, deputies said. No one was harmed in the robbery, sheriff's spokeswoman Susan Rose said.
Sheriff's Hesperia Station Detective Jeffrey Allison worked with the LAPD in their investigation and Robertson was arrested on suspicion of armed robbery, kidnapping and false imprisonment, officials said.
Robertson also was arrested on the outstanding warrant and weapons violations and booked into a Los Angeles County jail, sheriff's officials said.
