The third time proved not to be the charm for one Hesperia resident, who was arrested for his third burglary in just one week.

Less than 24 hours after he was released from jail for allegedly robbing Main Express Jewelry, sheriff's officials believe Tom Felix broke into the same Hesperia store again.

Felix, 50, was arrested just before 10 p.m. Monday after deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Victorville station caught him outside Victor Valley Shooters Gun Shop and Reloading Supply in Victorville, where an alarm had triggered a 911 call.

"When deputies arrived on scene, two windows were broken and Felix was attempting to break a window of an adjacent building," said Jodi Miller, spokesperson for the sheriff's department.

At the time of his arrest at Victor Valley Shooters on Monday, Felix was in possession of stolen jewelry from Main Express Jewelry, according to Miller.

Felix had already been identified as the primary suspect for two burglaries at the Hesperia jewelry store, which occurred on Nov. 14 and Sunday.

Hesperia deputies had served a search warrant at Felix's home on Friday, following the Nov. 14 burglary where a thief entered the Main Street store through a back window and stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry.

At Felix's residence, deputies recovered items stolen from the jewelry store, along with other evidence placing Felix at the scene of the burglary, according to previous reports.

Felix was then arrested and held in the Victor Valley Station overnight. On Saturday, Felix was released on his own recognizance, according to Miller.

At 5:50 a.m. on Sunday, deputies received a call about broken windows and another burglary at Main Express Jewelry, according to Miller.

Felix was identified as the suspect in this second burglary, and Hesperia deputies were searching for Felix when he was arrested by Victorville deputies for the burglary at Victor Valley Shooters, according to Miller.

Felix is in custody at the Victor Valley station and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, facing charges of burglary.
