Thirty-four students received awards for their participation in the Hesperia Unified School District's 2008 Science Fair, which was held March 13-15.


Winners of the fourth- through 12th-grade categories will go onto the San Bernardino County Science Fair in San Bernardino on April 15.

SECOND GRADE: Isabella Venegas, first place, from Topaz; Charlotte Baum, second place, from Mesquite; Zachary Schmitt, third place, from Lime Street.


THIRD GRADE: Emily Dzajikich, first place, Mission Crest; Stephanie Martinez, second place, Mesquite; David Ryder, third place, Kingston.
