When Kailey Taylor leaves for college next fall another talented Taylor twirler, Tasha Taylor, will become a Sultana freshman. But that doesn't guarantee the Sultans will see Sister Act II.
"Tasha does her own thing," says mother Shari Taylor. "She likes singing and dancing and running cross country."
But like her Oregon State-bound older sister, Tasha Taylor doesn't have a lack of baton twirling abilities. By the time she was 10, she was the Juvenile National Rhythmic Twirling Champion and won many state and regional titles. She also competed in world baton championship events.
At Ranchero Middle School where she is now in eighth grade, Tasha discovered cross country. As a member of the running Rattlers, she has excelled on an talented squad led by Cassie Bird, whose older sister Lainie Bird is a Sultana running star, Megan Morganstern, Emily Harrison and Brooke Johnson.
If that weren't a full enough plate, Tasha also loves to horse back ride and would like to be a veterinarian when she grows up.
