Sheriff deputies recovered stolen sports memorabilia, collectable coins, tools and more after arresting several people at two locations on Dec. 26, according to the Hesperia Police Station.

The property was recovered after a local business in the 15000 block of Main Street in Hesperia notified Sheriff's Dispatch that were people were attemping to pass a stolen and forged check. Deputies Combs, Necochea, Santa Cruz and Leininger responded to the location and arrested Joseph Mason, 19, for possession of the stolen and forged checks. The vehicle he was driving also had stolen property from a vehicle burglary, according to the Hesperia Police Department.

After receiving additional information, the deputies went to a residence in the 17000 block of Linden Street in Hesperia. After observing the residence, Deputies Zapata and Moore stopped a red 1997 Ford truck that was leaving the residence and arrested Robert Barling, 47, for possession of a controlled substance and burglary tools.

The Sheriff's helicopter observed a motorcycle leave the residence, and a short pursuit ensued. William David, 29, lost control and crashed the motorcycle nearby. David was taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance and parole violation.

A search of the Linden Street residence uncovered the stolen items, according to the station's report. Terry Mason, 52, Stephanie Anderson, 30, and Sharon Evans, 50, were arrested at the residence for charges ranging from possession of stolen property, parole violation and warrants, according to the station report.
