The dream began years ago, but today Carriage House Antiques is a reality.
"The whole building was Paul's idea," said Bunny Lynn Mariano. "We want it to be a special place where people like to come to."
The special place has almost 8,000-square-foot, a sprawling paradise for all things antique - and more.
"It's not simply antiques," said Paul Mariano, Bunny Lynn's husband. "We also carry high quality new items."
Carriage House has about 30 vendors who rent spaces to sell antique artwork, fine china, ornate wall hanging, furniture, handmade jewelry and other items. The store even has a special corner for men that the Marianos have aptly named the "mantique area." There, guys can find Budweiser mugs, collectable fishing lures, classic bottles of Coca-Cola and more. One vendor makes one-of-a-kind furniture and wrought-iron art.
Another end of Carriage House provides a relaxing spot for shoppers to have a relaxed cup of tea.
"And we use real china tea cups," Paul noted.
The couple has been involved in antique dealing for many years. They selected the location on Hesperia road three years ago. Now that it's open, they believe Carriage House Antiques has something for everybody.
"I'd be shocked if someone couldn't find something," Paul said.
Carriage House Antiques is located at 11370 Hesperia Road in Hesperia. The store is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
