Thursday afternoon, thousands of Hesperia residents lost electricity for several hours.

At 2:34 p.m., 2,300 Southern California Edison customers, living between Verde Street, Bangor Street, E Avenue and Peach Avenue, lost electricity, due to a problem with an underground electrical component.

SoCal Edison employees had restored power to most customers by 3:30 p.m., according to the company, but as of 4 p.m., 25 were still without power.
