HESPERIA CHRISTIAN 70, DESERT CHAPEL 62: At Palm Springs, the Patriots won the Cougar Classic championship game Saturday behind a pair of double-doubles from Eric O'Brien and Ryan Henry.

BARSTOW 55, SULTANA 56: Chrishtian Buttler made a pair of free throws with 1.6 seconds left in overtime to give Sultana a 56-55 win against Barstow on Friday night.

YUCAIPA 50, OAK HILLS 35: At Yucaipa, the Bulldogs lost a nonleague game to the Thunderbirds on Friday. Myles Gonzalez had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds for Oak Hills (3-4). Nick Cevallos scored a team-high 12 points and William Uelese grabbed 14 boards.

GRANITE HILLS 85, HESPERIA 84: At Apple Valley, Maleak Williams hit a 3-pointer with about 9 seconds to play to give the Cougars (2-3) a nonleague win Thursday.

HESPERIA CHRISTIAN 47,ORANGEWOOD ACADEMY 46: At La Verne, the Patriots used a big fourth quarter to advance to the championship game of the Cougar Classic on Thursday.

SULTANA 50, OAK HILLS 47: If Wednesday evening's Mojave River League opener between Sultana and Oak Hills is any indication of what the league will be like the rest of the year, few teams will emerge without some bumps, bruises and scares. The defending league champion Sultans held off a furious Bulldogs rally to escape with a 50-47 win in a bruising matchup at Oak Hills Gymnasium in front of a large, raucous crowd.

HESPERIA CHRISTIAN 62, DESERT CHRISTIAN/BERMUDA DUNES 47: At La Verne, the Patriots used a big fourth quarter to win a game at the Cougar Classic on Wednesday. Hesperia Christian (5-2) led by two points after three quarters before outscoring Desert Christian 19-6 in the fourth.

SULTANA 48, BARSTOW 38: At Barstow, the Sultans held the Aztecs to just 10 second-half points in a nonleague win Friday.

SERRANO 61, HESPERIA 32: At San Bernardino, Jessica Johnson nailed three 3-pointers en-route to a game-high 15 points to lead the Diamondbacks past the Scorpions to win the Arroyo Valley Tournament consolation title Friday.

HESPERIA 42, KAISER 40: At San Bernardino, the Scorpions picked up a win in the Arroyo Valley Tournament at Pacific High on Thursday.

HESPERIA CHRISTIAN 50, LUCERNE VALLEY 14: At Hesperia, Olivia Hough came close to a triple double tallying eight points, nine steals and nine rebounds as the Patriots rolled to an easy win in The Classic on Thursday.

SULTANA 57, OAK HILLS 46: The Sultana girls basketball team pushed its Mojave River League winning streak to 34 straight games with a season-opening 57-46 road win against Oak Hills on Wednesday night.

HESPERIA 56, FONTANA 53: At San Bernardino, Kayla Sheldon scored 26 points, hit three 3-pointers and added five assists, four rebounds and six steals in the Scorpions' overtime victory at the Arroyo Valley Tournament on Wednesday.
