  • HESPERIA — A water leak in the 8000 block of Peach Avenue near Seaforth Street caused little damage and was being repaired Friday afternoon.
A service line sprung a leak that caused minor damage to the roadway but no other property damage, Hesperia spokeswoman Rachel Molina said.
The city’s Water Department was making repairs that were expected to be completed later in the day, she said.
A caller reported the asphalt was “bubbling up from water coming up from underground,” Sheriff’s Hesperia Station spokeswoman Susan Rose said.
The report was made at 12:48 p.m. and the call was referred to the Fire Department, she said.
