CAJON PASS — Lane closures will continue for Interstate 15 during the Cajon Pass Rehabilitation Project taking place over the next two years.
Closures for the coming week are listed below.
Alternating lane closures, with no detours:
• Northbound I-15 lanes from Kenwood Avenue to Oak Hill Road nightly from 10 p.m. Sunday to Thursday until 9 a.m. the following day.
• Southbound I-15 lanes from Oak Hill Road to Kenwood Avenue nightly from 8 p.m. Sunday to Thursday until 4 a.m. the following day.
Alternating ramp closures, including detours:
• The southbound I-15 connector to the off-ramp for Highway 138 nightly from 8 p.m. Sunday to Thursday until 4 a.m. the following day. Detour via the Cleghorn Road exit to I-15 north to Highway 138.
• The westbound Highway 138 connector to southbound I-15 on-ramp nightly from 8 p.m. Sunday to Thursday until 4 a.m. the following day. Detour via the eastbound Highway 138 on-ramp to southbound I-15.
Closures are subject to change due to inclement weather conditions, equipment problems or emergency situations.
The project focuses on replacing and repairing roadway surfaces and is expected to add 50 years to the life of lanes from Kenwood Avenue in the pass and to just south of Highway 395 in the Victor Valley.
