  • HESPERIA — The City Council again will hear the first reading of an ordinance on animal care and control that revises spay/neuter and animal-keeping regulations.
The ordinance also will amend the related administrative fine schedule.
Acting as the City Council, board of the water and fire protection districts, the housing authority and community development commission, councilmen will consider the previously controversial fee schedule for animal breeders.
Councilmen also are expected to adopt a resolution approving a notice of funding available to preserve, improve and produce affordable housing within the limits of the Hesperia Housing Authority and approve the second reading of an ordinance amending laws affecting the presence and activities of registered sex offenders.
Among items of routine business on the consent calendar, the council is expected to approve the quitclaim of the Malibu Park property to Hesperia Recreation and Park District.
The City Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at 9700 Seventh Ave. in Hesperia. Meetings are scheduled the first and third Tuesdays monthly.
